Medicolegal Workshop 2026
Navigating Medicolegal Risks and Ethical Dilemmas in Healthcare
Workshop Venue
Villea Resort
Port Dickson
About the Workshop
Healthcare professionals operate at the intersection of clinical responsibility and legal accountability. One wrong step — a poorly documented consent, an online post, a misunderstood duty of care — can have lasting consequences.
This two-day workshop equips you with practical, case-based knowledge to understand your legal obligations, manage risk proactively, and practise with confidence.
The Reality
Every day in clinical practice, decisions carry legal weight. Most healthcare professionals only find out when it's too late.
A patient claims you failed to obtain proper consent.
Do you know exactly what documentation is legally sufficient — and what leaves you exposed?
You post an anonymised case online. A patient recognises it.
Social media breaches are among the fastest-growing reasons doctors face MMC proceedings.
You're called to give expert witness testimony in court.
Most clinicians have never been trained on how to present medical evidence effectively under cross-examination.
A family member demands access to a patient's records.
Confidentiality vs. family interests is a daily dilemma with real legal consequences if handled incorrectly.
You receive a complaint letter from MMC.
Do you understand the disciplinary process, your rights, and how panel decisions are made?
A patient refuses life-saving treatment. You're uncertain.
Navigating patient autonomy against professional duty requires a clear ethical framework — not guesswork.
